Alvarez’s new Artist Series guitars are beautiful and available in a wide range of shapes, colors, and woods. Natural materials are used throughout, including mother of pearl and abalone inlays, genuine bone saddles and nuts, and rosewood accents. But it’s when you take one up and play it that the magic begins. Each model is built to get the most out of its components and to have them work together to provide a tone and playing experience that is rarely available at such a low price. The quarter-sawn Sitka spruce and cedar tops are solid ‘A’ grade Sitka spruce and cedar. This assures constant quality, and it’s no mystery that better wood makes better guitars. Our tops are not only attractive, but also rigid, robust, and finely grained. This allows us to cut them just a smidgeon thinner, allowing them to dance a little bit more and generate a lot more vibration, resulting in a deeper tone.
The Award-Winning Artist Series
The Artist Series is now known as “The Award Winning Artist Series,” having won competitions and received acclaim in the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. In the solid top guitar industry, it’s a truly crafted range of guitars that stands tall and sounds great.
Solid tops hand-selected; forward-shifted scalloped bracing, incredible tone and playing experience
The phrase “solid top” refers to an acoustic guitar’s soundboard being composed of solid wood rather than laminated wood. However, just because the top is sturdy does not guarantee that the sound will benefit from it immediately. When the entire guitar is built correctly, the tone of the instrument increases dramatically, allowing it to truly release the energy that a strong soundboard can create. Artist Series is designed to accomplish just that.
Advanced Bracing System
Each model is built to get the most out of its components and to have them work together to provide a tone and playing experience that is rarely available in such a low price. Our FST2M bracing system, bi-level bridge, genuine bone nut, and high-quality tonewoods are among these features.
The FSTM design is a forward-shifted X brace. The asymmetric tone bars and the X braces are both scalloped. Moving the mechanism forward allows for a bigger soundboard, which is designed for both strength and energy with a solid maple bridge plate.
The quarter-sawn Sitka spruce and cedar tops are solid ‘A’ grade Sitka spruce and cedar. This assures constant quality, and it’s no mystery that better wood makes better guitars. Our tops are not only attractive, but also rigid, robust, and finely grained.
Both the treble and bass registers are clearly present and balanced in respect to one other, and the sound is warm, open, and powerful. These guitars have a good feel to them, are fun to play, and are responsive. Treat them harshly, and they will scream back; treat them tenderly, and they will murmur and respond quickly to the smallest pluck or pick.
Vast Range of Models
New Artist Series guitars look stunning and come in a huge variety of shapes, colors, and wood choices from standard OM and Dreadnought models to more specialist instruments such as Baritone and Parlor. Each shape is also available in a left-handed version.
Acoustic electrics come with the SYS550 designed by B-BAND, a pro-level EQ, and pick-up that reproduces the sound of the guitar very closely with great clarity. B-BAND use a patented under saddle electret film pick up which eliminates synthetic or processed sounds often heard with Piezo or other styles of pickup. The result is a very true, acoustic sound. SYS550 also has an accurate, backlit chromatic digital tuner.
