Description

Tim Armstrong is well-known as the Grammy-winning creator of the famous American punk band Rancid, as well as a producer and independent label owner. However, as a songwriter, he has always drawn inspiration from his vintage Fender concert-style acoustic guitar. The Tim Armstrong Hellcat is a contemporary take on Armstrong’s iconic instrument, complete with high-quality onboard electronics. It boasts a solid mahogany top for a beautiful tone and a satin-finish maple neck for smooth playability, making it a fantastic instrument for pop, rock, folk, and more.

This is a great acoustic with a punk rock vibe to it. The appointments on this less costly variant are similar to those on Armstrong’s personal Hellcat, so fans of Rancid will know the style (although adapted to right-handed players).

I couldn’t believe the packing when I received this guitar from GearNuts, and I mean it in a good manner. It was contained within a box within a box within a box within a box within a box within a box within a box within a box within It couldn’t possibly have been damaged in transit. Without Prime membership, I ordered it one day and received it the next. GearNuts pleased me so much that I would buy from them again. I’m only a beginner when it comes to playing the guitar, but I’m having a great time with it. A number of the strings have rust spots on them, but this has no effect on the sound in any way. I went through it again and again, and it was the only flaw I could discover. Overall, the craftsmanship is excellent. I would suggest this guitar to anyone in the market for a new instrument. And I wholeheartedly endorse GearNuts!
